When you stay at 74 Ranch for a hunt, every part of your experience is taken care of, including the food. Your stay includes all meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, served buffet style in our dining room. Every dish is homemade, full of flavor, and better than restaurant quality, crafted with the same care and attention we bring to every part of the ranch.

Feasting from our on-site greenhouse
We believe great meals start with the best ingredients. That’s why we grow many of our own vegetables, herbs, and greens right here at the ranch. Our on-site greenhouse operates year-round and plays a big role in the dishes we serve.
The salad bar at lunch and dinner is filled with crisp lettuce from the greenhouse, along with seasonal picks like tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, and more. Our culinary team also uses homegrown herbs and vegetables in as many meals as possible. As Chef Tan says, you can’t make great food without fresh ingredients, and that’s exactly what our greenhouse provides.
Meet the chef
Chef Tan Nguyen
Over the course of his 40-year career, Chef Tan has worked across a wide range of food service settings, including fine dining restaurants, largescale banquet operations, and respected retailers like H-E-B Central Market. He has held many roles along the way, such as lead cook, banquet chef, executive sous chef, and executive chef.
Since joining 74 Ranch in 2014, Chef Tan has poured his experience and heart into every meal. He takes great pride in upholding the ranch’s commitment to hospitality, quality, and exceptional service. His favorite part of the job is creating flavorful, madefrom-scratch dishes for guests who truly appreciate great food. There’s a reason he’s a fan favorite around the ranch.
