Put the fun back into deer hunting! Recapture the thrill you had as a kid when
hunting deer was an adventure and you didn't have to add up antler
scores to find out if you had succeeded.
This is a
full-service Trophy Deer Hunt, not a management hunt, within the confines of our
prime high-fenced area (approximately 25,000 acres). Depending on the size of your party, you
will receive a 1-on-1 guided hunt or, for larger groups, a 2-on-1
guided hunt.
On Day 1, you
will arrive at the 74 Ranch for lunch and get settled into your
private room. Your guide will then escort you to the rifle range
to check your rifle. (It is always best to arrive sighted in, in
case the weather is too wet or windy to do so. A 30-caliber and
up is recommended for South Texas deer). After your trip to the
rifle range, you will be ready to hunt until dark. Dinner is served
about an hour after sundown. On Day 2, you will awaken early for
a full breakfast and head for the deer blind. You can come in for
lunch or stay out hunting until dinner. On Day 3, you will hunt in the morning,
then return to the lodge for lunch, and prepare for your departure.
There are no
trophy fees for whitetail deer hunting at the 74 Ranch Resort.
